Chris joined HB Wealth, formerly WMS Partners, in 2019 as a Senior Wealth Advisor and Principal. He joined the Partners’ Shareholder group in 2021. Chris serves as a trusted advisor to multi-generational families, entrepreneurs, and executives, helping them navigate the complexities of financial, estate, and tax planning issues to help them achieve their unique goals. Chris is also Chair of the firm’s Estate Planning Subject Matter Expert group.

Prior to joining HB, Chris was a Wealth Strategist with GenSpring SunTrust Private Wealth, and prior to that, with GenSpring Family Offices. He spent 13 years working exclusively with ultra-high-net-worth families, delivering services ranging from Estate and Tax planning to family education and governance.

Active in his professional community, Chris is a member of the Financial Planning Association and is a leader within its local Maryland chapter, where he was a member of the board and Chairman of the Membership Committee. He is also a member of the Howard County Estate Planning Council. ​

Chris earned his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland and is an active alumnus. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIALPLANNER® practitioner, as well as a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor.​

Chris spends his personal time with his wife, two sons, and two dogs at their home in Columbia, MD. He enjoys coaching youth sports, spending time on the Chesapeake Bay, and performing his own auto and home maintenance.​
