Abbey joined HB Wealth after 16 years of law practice devoted to estate, gift and charitable planning, probate, trust and estate administration, pre/post-marital planning and business succession planning. She serves as a Wealth Strategist, applying the company’s holistic approach to each client’s planning, and she provides clients with ongoing, personalized guidance on tax-efficient wealth, business and estate planning strategies.

As a Shareholder in her previous firm, Abbey earned many awards for her work, but she takes the most pride in her ability to uniquely engage with her clients, listen to and empathize with their individual needs, and translate discussions into a meaningful plan that is representative of her clients’ personal wishes, family and tax-oriented goals and best interests.

Abbey enjoys educating others about topics relevant to their lives, and both writes and lectures on a variety of topics, including estate and tax planning, philanthropy, complex gift planning structures, planning for the newly single individual, planning for aging and longevity, planning for modern family structures and the interplay of family law and estate planning.

A native New Yorker, Abbey holds a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, from Arizona State University, a Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from the University of Miami School of Law, and a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation, with honors, from the University of Alabama School of Law. Abbey is a member of the American, Georgia and Atlanta Bar Associations. She is also a member of the Atlanta Estate Planning Council, for which she served as a Board Member, chairs the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Legacy Advisor Council, co-chairs the Advisory Council for Jewish Home Life Communities, and serves on the Planned Giving Committee for Pace Academy and on the Board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
