Sean Cook

Sean joined HB Wealth in January 2020. He works out of HB Wealth’s Alpharetta office, and manages several larger client relationships. Sean is a past member of Schwab Advisory’s Technology Board.

Prior to his career in wealth management, Sean held management consulting roles with Deloitte Consulting and Index Consulting (later CSC Index Consulting), focusing in areas such as financial management, organizational design and business process innovation.  He also worked as a strategy consultant for Cresap Consulting (now Towers Watson, a global benefits and HR consulting firm) and held programming and technology integration roles with Hewlett Packard and SMS Data Products, where he supported the research and statistics functions of the United States Federal Reserve.

Sean holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina with a dual major in finance and management science. While at the University of South Carolina he was elected to membership in The Phi Beta Kappa Society.

Wilson Reece, CPA, CFP®

Wilson joined HB Wealth in October 2017 and is currently a Wealth Advisor. Wilson enjoys working with clients on all aspects of their financial plans but has a particular interest in estate planning as families consider how to pass their wealth to their families and the charities they support.

Before HB Wealth, Wilson spent two years with Dixon Hughes Goodman in Atlanta. There he worked in tax on a wide range of clients including partnerships, corporations, and high-net-worth individuals.

Wilson received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and his Master’s in Accounting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Wilson lives in Nashville, TN with his wife Anna, their son Eli, and their daughter Lucy. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, coaching youth sports, and visiting family and friends.

Gene Brooks, CFP®

Gene is a Senior Wealth Advisor and Shareholder in HB Wealth’s Family Office division. He has 11 years of experience serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and foundations, 10 of which have been with HB Wealth. He advises clients on all aspects of their financial plans but has a particular interest in complex estate planning.

Gene graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology’s Scheller College of Business with Highest Honors and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a certificate in Marketing. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

A native Atlantan, Gene lives in Brookhaven with his wife (Becca), young son (Gene IV), daughter (Vivian), and Labradoodle (Hamilton). In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, attending Georgia Tech games, traveling, and fly fishing.

Bill Bolen, CFP®, CFA

Bill is an experienced wealth advisor and leader in HB Wealth’s Family Office division who works with ultra-high net-worth families to help them navigate the markets and manage their financial lives.

Prior to joining HB Wealth in 2009, Bill served most recently as leader of the Terwilliger Family Office and as the first President of the Atlanta Dream WNBA sports franchise. Bill brings a wide range of expertise to the firm, ranging from family office management and investment management to executive advisory services and professional services management.  He started his professional services career as a manager at McKinsey & Company’s Atlanta office before co-founding The DaVinci Group, a strategy and marketing consulting firm based in Atlanta that eventually became TopRight.  During his consulting career, Bill was also responsible for leading the consulting effort for a number of metro Atlanta initiatives to improve the quality of life and economic growth including the creation of the Atlanta BeltLine, the Metro Atlanta Transportation Initiative, and the Mayor’s Affordable Workforce Housing Task Force.

Bill received his M.B.A. with distinction from the Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama with a B.S. in marketing where he received the Outstanding Senior Award for the University.  Bill is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He was chosen as one of the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s Top 40 Under 40 in 2008.  In addition to appearances on CNBC and local Atlanta television stations, he has been featured in articles in Barron’s, The New York Times, Atlanta Business Chronicle, Atlanta Journal Constitution, and Georgia Trend.

An active member of the community, Bill has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Piedmont Park Conservancy, Ansley Park Civic Association, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, Mount Paran Christian School, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership, and the Community Advisory Board for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. He is an active supporter of the Atlanta Botanical Garden and High Museum of Art. Bill is a member of the CFA Institute and Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals.

Frank Waterson, CFP®

Frank has spent his entire career working with wealthy individuals, families, and foundations. He leads a team at HB Wealth serving as the family CFO for select clients throughout the country.  He provides planning advice in the areas of investment management, retirement planning, risk management, income tax and estate planning.  One of Frank’s primary goals is to help free up time for clients, so they can focus on the areas that matter to them most.

Before joining HB Wealth, Frank began his career developing comprehensive financial plans and advising Fortune 500 executives with The Ayco Company, a Goldman Sachs company.  A significant amount of time was spent on employee benefits, income tax planning and wealth transfer strategies.

Frank is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a member of the Fernbank Museum’s Corporate Leadership Council.  He has been a member of the fee-only National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) as well as the Financial Planning Association (FPA).  He graduated Cum Laude from Siena College in Loudonville, NY.

Frank and his wife, Sara, live in the City of Decatur with their two children. In his free time, Frank enjoys traveling, spending time with his family, reading and hiking.

John Taylor, CFP®, CFA

John “JT” has spent his long-term career working with wealthy individuals, families, foundations, and institutional clients. JT leads a client service team at HB Wealth, where he provides advice in the areas of investment management, retirement planning, risk management, income tax, and estate planning. One of JT’s primary goals is to help clients feel empowered and make more informed decisions so they can be the best possible stewards of their wealth.

He joined HB Wealth in 2007 and has been a shareholder of the company since 2017. In addition to his primary job functions, he has been recognized by HB for his commitment to technology and innovation, leading our internal IDEA team specializing in creating efficiencies and automation within HB Wealth.

JT attended the University of Georgia where he remains active in alumni events and sporting events. He is an avid supporter of the UGA financial planning program through a variety of capacities which have included lectures, Microsoft Excel labs, panel discussions, and alumni advisory board membership. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and a member of the CFA Institute.

He was named UGA’s FACS 100 Centennial Honoree by The College of Family and Consumer Sciences in 2017. In 2020 he received the Distinguished Financial Planning Alumni Award from the University of Georgia’s Financial Planning program.

JT and his wife Ruth live in Chastain Park with their three kids (Audrey, Brynn, and John) and dog Frodo. When not in the office you can find JT looking for many outdoor adventures like hiking, fishing, traveling, and golfing.

Ben Riddick, CFP®

Ben joined HB Wealth in 2005 and provides comprehensive wealth management services to some of Atlanta’s busiest individuals. He serves a diverse client base stretching from young professionals to family office clients.  His goal is to help his clients focus on the people, work and projects most important to them by helping navigate their financial lives and build a plan to accomplish their objectives.

Ben is on the firm’s Management Team and Financial Planning Committee.  He is a member of and past Advocacy Chair of the Financial Planning Association of Georgia and a participant in GT Mentor Jackets, an alumni-to-student mentoring program. He is also a 2018 graduate of the Charles Schwab Executive Leadership Program. Ben earned a bachelor’s degree in management with high honors, including certificates in finance and accounting from Georgia Tech. He completed Boston University’s financial planning certification program in 2007 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Ben lives in Dunwoody with his wife Mary Catherine and children James and Mary Margaret.  In his spare time he enjoys playing piano and guitar and is an avid college basketball fan.

Chris Kowal, CFP®

Chris joined HB Wealth in October 2006 and serves as a Senior Wealth Advisor & Shareholder. He attended Wake Forest University, graduating in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in international studies. He completed the Executive Program for Financial Planning Certification at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business in 2008 and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional. He is also a past Board Member of the Georgia chapter of the Financial Planning Association.

Chris is an associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants – Personal Financial Planning Section and is also a co-founding member of the Young Advisers Network within the AICPA-PFP Section. Chris is also a 2016 graduate of the Schwab Executive Leadership Program. In 2024 and 2025, Chris was named one of Forbes Best-In-State Atlanta High Net Worth Advisors.

In his free time, Chris is an active member of the Marist School alumni association, serving on the Service and Spirituality committee on the alumni board. He is also a trustee of the Cherokee Employee Scholarship Foundation (“CESF”).

He is an accomplished pianist and enjoys golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife Meredith and four children, William, Amelia, Leighton, and Wells (and Bernese Mountain dog Finn!).

Drew Klepchick, CFP®

Drew joined HB Wealth in March 2008 and leads the firm’s office in northern Atlanta. In addition, Drew is a Board of Director and Investment Committee member.

Prior to joining HB Wealth, Drew founded two successful businesses. In 1988, Drew launched Creative Financial Group, a financial advisory firm that grew to manage $1 billion in investment assets. In 1998, Drew co-founded Robert Andrews Securities, a full-service brokerage dealer where he served as president. In 2001, both businesses were sold to Synovus, a diversified financial services holding company. From 2005-2007, Drew held the position of president and CEO of Synovus Financial Management Services, an $8 billion financial service organization.

He brings successful entrepreneurship and wealth management skills to the firm and leverages his understanding of wealth growth and sustainability in servicing his relationships. Drew focuses on long-term investment strategies for his clients, using a combination of traditional and alternative investment vehicles to create customized programs for each relationship.

Outside of work he serves on the Lionheart School Board of Directors and until recently he served as the Treasurer and Board Member of the Centers for Disease Control Foundation.

Drew is a graduate from Furman University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional.

Adam Fuller, CFA, CFP®

Adam joined HB Wealth in 1995 and has been a shareholder since 2001 focused on managing the investment and planning needs of a diverse base of individuals and families. During his tenure at HB Wealth, he has held many other roles in the firm including oversight of compliance, back office services, technology, and the firm’s real estate and energy investments.

Currently, Adam leads HB Wealth’s Family Office division, where he works with a team to develop and implement a broad range of investment and planning strategies to meet the needs of those families. Adam also serves on the firm’s investment committee, and he has been a speaker at conferences on the topics of alternative investments, wealth transfer strategies, and practice management.

Adam is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Finance and Investment Professionals. He is also a National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Corporate Professional.

In his community, Adam is an active member of Northside United Methodist Church, where he has served on numerous boards and committees and as a coach for youth sports teams.  He currently serves on the branch board of the Buckhead YMCA.

Adam attended the Georgia Institute of Technology earning a BS in Management with a concentration in Accounting, and Georgia State University earning a MS in Finance with a concentration in Investments.
