Sam Callard, J.D.

Sam joined HB Wealth in January 2025 as a Senior Wealth Advisor and member of the private investments team after working with WMS Partners since August 2016. Sam works with numerous families on all aspects of their financial lives, including helping manage their investment portfolios, analyzing cash flows, advising on life and property insurance, and serving as a partner in the oversight of myriad other components of clients’ financial pictures. Having become a wealth manager from another profession (corporate lawyer), Sam prides himself on being an independent thinker when it comes to solving problems for clients. He finds himself equally comfortable explaining “words” (e.g., legal documents) to clients as he is walking clients through “numbers” (e.g., performance metrics).

Before joining HB Wealth, Sam was Vice President at Matheys Lane Capital Management L.P., a multi-family office based in Providence, Rhode Island. In 2021, Matheys Lane was purchased by SCS Financial, which is headquartered in Boston. During his six years at Matheys Lane, Sam worked with client families on all aspects of their balance sheets, investment portfolios, and estate plans; he also led the due diligence and monitoring processes in connection with all manner of private investment funds, including private equity funds, venture capital funds, and hedge funds. Prior to Matheys Lane, Sam was a practicing corporate attorney at Seward & Kissel LLP, a law firm in New York City. There, he represented hedge funds and investment advisers to hedge funds.

Since 2022, Sam has served on the Board of Trustees of the Baltimore Museum of Art (BMA) as a member of the BMA’s Investment Committee. Since 2023, he has served as the Chair of the Investment Committee.

Sam has a J.D. cum laude from Boston University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Haverford College. In addition, he is a member of the New York State Bar. Sam has passed Level II of the CFA examination.

In his spare time, Sam enjoys spending time with his wife (an elementary school music teacher) and two daughters. His hobbies include trying to read all the periodicals he subscribes to, running, watching a significant amount of men’s and women’s professional tennis, actually playing tennis, as well as fun trips and meals with his family. New York City, Paris, and Providence, Rhode Island, are some of his family’s favorites.

Jeff Hill

As Senior Wealth Advisor, he serves as family “CFO” to help clients gain knowledge and clarity to make thoughtful, informed decisions. Leveraging the combined experiences of our client families and professionals, Jeff helps families navigate complex financial issues and develop long-term strategies.

Prior to joining HB, Jeff was an analyst with a Registered Investment Advisor in Timonium.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.

Jackson Finigan III, CFP®

Jackson joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners since 2023. He works with families on cash flow planning, estate and wealth transfer strategies, and investments.

Before joining HB, Jackson and his wife lived in NYC, where he worked for wealth management groups at J.P. Morgan and Wells Fargo Advisors.

Jackson has volunteered and worked with Harlem Lacrosse, the Ulman Foundation, and the Willie Fund.

Jackson earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Delaware and his MBA with a major in Finance from the University of Delaware. He is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He was a Division 1 lacrosse player for the University of Delaware and a 3-time captain for the program.

In his spare time, Jackson enjoys golfing and spending time with friends and family, including his wife and daughter. He is also an avid Boston sports team fan.

Gosia Elashmawy, CFP®

Gosia collaborates with clients to develop holistic, personalized financial plans to help them achieve their personal and financial goals. She utilizes her personalized approach to understand clients’ unique circumstances and develop a plan that aligns with their specific needs. Gosia specializes in cash flow and retirement planning and helps families make appropriate decisions for their financial future.

Gosia joined WMS Partners as an intern and has progressed to become a Senior Advisor and Shareholder.

Gosia is involved in the FPA of Maryland and is a co-chair of their Pro-Bono Committee. She also volunteers with Savvy Ladies, helping women with their financial planning questions.

Gosia earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business and Management from The Carey Business School of Johns Hopkins University. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Lesa Crosser, AWMA®

Lesa joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners for 14 years. Lesa works with clients to develop comprehensive investment and cash flow strategies to meet their short and long-term needs and objectives, and to design and evolve tax and estate plans to fulfill their legacy intentions.

While at WMS Partners, Lesa spent many years working with high-net-worth individuals and families, advising clients and contributing to the firm in various leadership and committee roles. She began her wealth management career working with clients at Legg Mason in Baltimore, and also spent time advising individual and institutional clients at Citigroup Smith Barney.

Lesa is passionate about service and giving back to the community. She has led financial workshops for graduating college seniors and workshops providing practical financial and investment education to students. Lesa supports Caroline Center, a Baltimore non-profit helping women transform their lives. She is a past Board Member and former Chair of the Investment Committee. She also served on the UMMS St. Joseph Medical Center Advisory Council. Lesa is active in her church and community, volunteering and supporting St. Margaret School and community outreach projects.

Lesa is an Accredited Wealth Management Advisor (AWMA®), which encompasses comprehensive planning and investment management expertise.

Lesa adores spending time at the beach and in the mountains. While she relishes a good book, she is an outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking, kayaking, fishing, boating, and lots more as long as it’s under a big blue or starry sky. Lesa is also fond of preparing delicious cuisine and pairing courses with interesting wines and is famous in some parts for her Chesapeake and Southern culinary comfort creations. One of Lesa’s greatest pleasures is traveling with her family, exploring new destinations, and celebrating new adventures.

Hugh Palmer

Hugh joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners for five years. He and his team work with their clients to help them achieve their financial goals through cash flow management, investing, and planning.

Prior to joining HB, Hugh served five years in the U.S. Army. He spent 18 months in Germany serving as an Infantry Platoon Leader and Reconnaissance Platoon Leader with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment. Following his time in Germany, he served as an Operations Officer and Executive Officer in the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Hugh earned his B.S. in Economics from the United States Military Academy and went on to receive his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In his spare time, Hugh enjoys spending time with his family and friends, including his wife and child. He also enjoys trail running, powerlifting, and gardening.

Tony King, CFA

Kelly Nowottnick, J.D.

Kelly joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners. She is a Senior Wealth Advisor whose focus centers on helping clients identify and pursue the impact they wish to create in their families, their communities, and the world. Kelly works with individuals and families who are navigating the complexities of sudden wealth–whether that wealth is derived from the sale of a business, an inheritance, a divorce, or some other life event. Kelly has over 15 years of experience coaching individuals and families through the intricacies of business succession planning, estate planning, the creation of charities, generational gifting, trust creation and administration, financial literacy, financial stewardship, philanthropy, and impact investing.

Prior to joining HB, Kelly was a Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Advisor with PNC Bank’s Family Office, known as Hawthorn. Prior to that, she was a practicing attorney in the Tax and Wealth Planning Group of Venable LLP. As a Tax and Wealth Planning Associate with Venable, Kelly planned and administered clients’ estates, advised entrepreneurial clients with respect to their business succession plans, and assisted families and corporations in the creation and administration of private foundations and donor-advised funds. Kelly served on Venable’s Hiring Committee and on the Grants Committee of the Venable Private Foundation.

Kelly graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. She served as Associate Editor of Maryland Law Review, in which she was a published author. She was also selected as the Joseph R. Hardiman Leadership Scholar for the Class of 2008. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, graduating summa cum laude.

Natalie Whelton, J.D., LL.M., Esq.

Natalie joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners since 2020. As a Senior Wealth Advisor & Wealth Strategist, Natalie assists clients on a wide variety of topics including estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth transfer strategies. Natalie’s in-depth knowledge of advanced tax and financial issues serves as a valuable resource for her clients.

Prior to joining HB, Natalie spent four years at PNC as a Fiduciary Advisor collaborating with Private Banking, Wealth Strategy & Investment Advisors on client planning discussions and documents. She also spent time at Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler LLC, where she prepared estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and power of attorney.

Natalie participates in volunteer events throughout Baltimore, including her favorite annual harvest day at First Fruits Farms, which supports the Maryland Food Bank.

Natalie obtained her B.A. from Louisiana State University with a dual concentration in English Literature and French. Natalie spent a year as an exchange student in Lyon, France, where she lived with a French family and attended Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Natalie received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Outside of work, you can usually find Natalie entertaining her very active young boys on the lacrosse fields or on the mountain biking trails. She and her family enjoy travelling, particularly to places where Natalie can practice her French.

Gary Anderson, CPA, PFS, J.D., AEP

Gary joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners for 10 years as a Senior Financial Advisor and Senior Planner. He is currently a Wealth Strategist. He specializes in complete family wealth planning, with a specific focus on creative tax and estate planning strategies, retirement planning, insurance, and executive benefit consulting.

Prior to joining HB, Gary was a Principal at Glass Jacobson Investment Advisors in Owings Mill, MD. He was a Tax Partner at KPMG LLP for 20 years and began his career as a Tax Associate at Venable LLP in Baltimore, MD.

Gary stays active in the Baltimore community through his volunteer efforts for The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, where he is a member of the Program Committee for its Planned Giving Roundtable series for all professional disciplines involved in planned giving. He is also a member of the Development Committee for The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree Business Administration in Accounting from Lehigh University and earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law. A member of the Maryland Bar Association (MSBA), he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). Gary is a member of the MACPA, where he serves as Co-Chair for the annual Advanced Tax Institute’s Estate Planning Day. He has previously held several securities and life insurance-related licenses. Gary is also a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, where he has previously served as President.

Gary enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and futilely trying to lower his golf handicap.

Martin Eby, CFP®

Martin joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after co-founding WMS Partners in 1993, where he served on the Board of Directors and chaired the firm’s Real Estate Investment and Charitable Committees. Martin served as Chief Advisory Officer, leading the firm’s Advisors and Client Services Teams until December 2017. As Senior Wealth Advisor, Martin is responsible for the general operations and management of the firm’s Family Office clients. This includes overseeing the investment of funds, managing risk, supervising cash management activities, and executing strategies to support the family’s current and future needs.

Prior to forming WMS Partners in 1993, Martin served as a Financial Advisor at CIGNA Individual Financial Services and the Charter Corporation.

Martin has been recognized by Forbes as a Best-in-State wealth advisor in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025.

Martin is a member of the Board of Trustees of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, where he serves as Chair of the Investment Committee as well as on the Development Committee. Previously, Martin served on the Board of Trustees of The Odyssey School in Stevenson, MD, as Chair of the Investment Committee. Martin has also been active in various associations, including The Associated Catholic Charities of Baltimore, The McDonogh School, Notre Dame Preparatory School, The U.S. Naval Academy, and his church.

Martin is a graduate of Loyola University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 1986 and was a member of the National Association of Personal Advisors (NAPFA) for over 15 years.

A fourth-generation Baltimore native, Martin has been married for over 30 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

Chad Norfolk, CFP®

In his role, he provides clients with the guidance and clarity they need to accomplish their goals. Chad has worked in the wealth management industry since 1997. He spent the first decade of his career as a partner in a family office specializing in working with professional baseball players. From 2006 to 2014, he was a Partner and COO for a Registered Investment Advisor in Columbia, MD.

Chad’s expertise and opinions have been sought by several publications, including the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch.com, Investor’s Business Daily, Financial Planning Magazine, and the Baltimore Business Journal.

Chad is a former board member of the Ulman Fund, helping to serve young adults fighting cancer. He has stayed active in the local community, coaching soccer and lacrosse in programs throughout Carroll County.
