Kelly Nowottnick, J.D.

Kelly joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners. She is a Senior Wealth Advisor whose focus centers on helping clients identify and pursue the impact they wish to create in their families, their communities, and the world. Kelly works with individuals and families who are navigating the complexities of sudden wealth–whether that wealth is derived from the sale of a business, an inheritance, a divorce, or some other life event. Kelly has over 15 years of experience coaching individuals and families through the intricacies of business succession planning, estate planning, the creation of charities, generational gifting, trust creation and administration, financial literacy, financial stewardship, philanthropy, and impact investing.

Prior to joining HB Wealth, Kelly was a Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Advisor with PNC Bank’s Family Office, known as Hawthorn. Prior to that, she was a practicing attorney in the Tax and Wealth Planning Group of Venable LLP. As a Tax and Wealth Planning Associate with Venable, Kelly planned and administered clients’ estates, advised entrepreneurial clients with respect to their business succession plans, and assisted families and corporations in the creation and administration of private foundations and donor-advised funds. Kelly served on Venable’s Hiring Committee and on the Grants Committee of the Venable Private Foundation.

Kelly graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law and is a member of the Order of the Coif. She served as Associate Editor of Maryland Law Review, in which she was a published author. She was also selected as the Joseph R. Hardiman Leadership Scholar for the Class of 2008. Kelly earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business, graduating summa cum laude.

Natalie Whelton, J.D., LL.M., Esq.

Natalie joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners since 2020. As a Senior Wealth Advisor & Wealth Strategist, Natalie assists clients on a wide variety of topics including estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth transfer strategies. Natalie’s in-depth knowledge of advanced tax and financial issues serves as a valuable resource for her clients.

Prior to joining HB, Natalie spent four years at PNC as a Fiduciary Advisor collaborating with Private Banking, Wealth Strategy & Investment Advisors on client planning discussions and documents. She also spent time at Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler LLC, where she prepared estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and power of attorney.

Natalie participates in volunteer events throughout Baltimore, including her favorite annual harvest day at First Fruits Farms, which supports the Maryland Food Bank.

Natalie obtained her B.A. from Louisiana State University with a dual concentration in English Literature and French. Natalie spent a year as an exchange student in Lyon, France, where she lived with a French family and attended Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Natalie received her J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Outside of work, you can usually find Natalie entertaining her very active young boys on the lacrosse fields or on the mountain biking trails. She and her family enjoy travelling, particularly to places where Natalie can practice her French.

Gary Anderson, CPA, PFS, J.D., AEP

Gary joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after working with WMS Partners for 10 years as a Senior Financial Advisor and Senior Planner. He is currently a Wealth Strategist specializing in complete family wealth planning, with a specific focus on creative tax and estate planning strategies, retirement planning, insurance, and executive benefit consulting.

Prior to joining HB Wealth, Gary was a Principal at Glass Jacobson Investment Advisors in Owings Mill, MD. He was a Tax Partner at KPMG LLP for 20 years and began his career as a Tax Associate at Venable LLP in Baltimore, MD.

Gary stays active in the Baltimore community through his volunteer efforts for The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore, where he is a member of the Program Committee for its Planned Giving Roundtable series for all professional disciplines involved in planned giving. He is also a member of the Development Committee for The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore.

Gary holds a Bachelor of Science Degree Business Administration in Accounting from Lehigh University and earned his J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law. A member of the Maryland Bar Association (MSBA), he is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and an Accredited Estate Planner (AEP). Gary is a member of the MACPA, where he serves as Co-Chair for the annual Advanced Tax Institute’s Estate Planning Day. He has previously held several securities and life insurance-related licenses. Gary is also a member of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council, where he has previously served as President.

Gary enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, cooking, and futilely trying to lower his golf handicap.

Chad Norfolk, CFP®

In his role, he provides clients with the guidance and clarity they need to accomplish their goals. He focuses on strategic initiatives throughout the firm and is passionate about driving innovation and continually improving our client experience.

Chad has worked in the wealth management industry since 1997. He spent the first decade of his career as a partner in a family office specializing in working with professional baseball players. From 2006 to 2014, he was a Partner and COO for a Registered Investment Advisor in Columbia, MD.

Chad’s expertise and opinions have been sought by several publications, including the Wall Street Journal, MarketWatch.com, Investor’s Business Daily, Financial Planning Magazine, and the Baltimore Business Journal.

Chad is a former board member of the Ulman Fund, helping to serve young adults fighting cancer. He has stayed active in the local community, coaching soccer and lacrosse in programs throughout Carroll County.

Chad is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) practitioner and member of the Family Wealth Alliance and Ultra-High Net Worth Institute. He is a proud graduate of the 2015 Charles Schwab Executive Leadership Program.

In his spare time, Chad stays busy raising his children and enjoys staying active in boxing classes, weightlifting, soccer, golfing, and playing racquet sports.

Martin Eby, CFP®

Martin joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after co-founding WMS Partners in 1993, where he served on the Board of Directors and chaired the firm’s Real Estate Investment and Charitable Committees. Martin served as Chief Advisory Officer, leading the firm’s Advisors and Client Services Teams until December 2017. As Senior Wealth Advisor, Martin is responsible for the general operations and management of the firm’s Family Office clients. This includes overseeing the investment of funds, managing risk, supervising cash management activities, and executing strategies to support the family’s current and future needs.

Prior to forming WMS Partners in 1993, Martin served as a Financial Advisor at CIGNA Individual Financial Services and the Charter Corporation.

Martin has been recognized by Forbes as a Best-in-State wealth advisor in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2024, and 2025.

Martin is a member of the Board of Trustees of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, where he serves as Chair of the Investment Committee as well as on the Development Committee. Previously, Martin served on the Board of Trustees of The Odyssey School in Stevenson, MD, as Chair of the Investment Committee. Martin has also been active in various associations, including The Associated Catholic Charities of Baltimore, The McDonogh School, Notre Dame Preparatory School, The U.S. Naval Academy, and his church.

Martin is a graduate of Loyola University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation in 1986 and was a member of the National Association of Personal Advisors (NAPFA) for over 15 years.

A fourth-generation Baltimore native, Martin has been married for over 30 years and has three children and two grandchildren.

Robert DiBenedetto

Robert joined HB Wealth in July 2025. He is a Wealth Advisor responsible for providing investment and wealth planning advice to business owners and their families, along with their trusts, estates, retirement plans, and foundations. In conjunction with HB Wealth, he provides counsel to clients and their professional advisors on a variety of matters, including tax and estate planning, multi-generational asset allocation, individual and corporate retirement planning, and the sale of closely held businesses.

Before joining HB Wealth, Robert spent six years with Bernstein Private Wealth Management in Atlanta. He brings deep experience from his prior role as a Wealth Advisor, primarily serving business owners, their families, retirement plans, and foundations.

An engaged member of the Greenville, SC community, Robert recently served as President of the Christ Church Episcopal School Alumni Association, where he helped foster meaningful alumni engagement and supported the organization’s mission alongside a dedicated team of volunteers. He will continue to serve in a leadership role as Past President in the coming year.

Robert earned his Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Writing & Publication Studies from Clemson University and went on to receive his International Master’s in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. He is registered with FINRA.

Robert’s passions, which include sports, hunting, fishing, and conservation work, are seasonal by nature and keep him looking forward to each rotation around the sun. He finds the most joy in fellowship and sharing his love for the outdoors with others — especially his wife (Hannah), son (Robert), daughter (Leigh), and black lab (Boozie).

Greg Belatti, J.D., MBA

Greg joined HB Wealth in May 2025. He brings a unique blend of legal, operational, and leadership experience to his role. As a J.D./MBA with years of experience inside a multi-family office, Greg has spent his career helping families make smart decisions—whether it’s coordinating with advisors, planning for generational transitions, or just keeping the day-to-day running smoothly.

Before joining HB Wealth, Greg served as Partner and General Counsel for a family investment firm, where he helped lead strategic initiatives across legal, operations, and estate planning. His earlier career includes nearly a decade as a corporate attorney focused on franchise, real estate, and business transactions. He also served as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps Officer, where he was responsible for logistics and financial operations during overseas deployment—a role that shaped his steady, solutions-oriented approach.

Greg serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.

Greg earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame, earned his J.D. from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, and later added an MBA from the Georgia Tech Scheller School of Business.

When he’s not working with families or legal teams, you can find him spending time with his own family, coaching youth sports, or enjoying a round of golf.

Sean Maguire, CFA

Sean joined HB Wealth in February 2025 as a Senior Wealth Advisor. He has spent his entire career in the Wealth Management industry helping individuals, families, and not-for-profits achieve their personal and financial goals. His ability to listen to clients and hear their concerns has allowed him to build relationships and proactively identify solutions that are well researched and customized.

Before joining HB Wealth, Sean spent 15 years at BNY Mellon Wealth Management. There, he managed a book of clients and held a leadership role overseeing the Tampa and Winter Park offices.

Sean has held leadership and board member roles in various community not-for-profits. These include his local church, schools his children have attended, and other organizations focused on the well-being of the community.

Sean earned his BSBA with a major in Finance from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. He is also a CFA charterholder.

In his spare time, Sean enjoys playing golf, hiking, and watching college basketball. He is also an aviation enthusiast and holds a private pilot license. Sean is married and has two daughters.

Nate Wilinski, CFP®

Prior to joining HB Wealth, he worked as a Financial Advisor for another Atlanta-based firm, where he focused on delivering comprehensive financial planning and tax-advantaged savings strategies.

He is a graduate of Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, where he double majored in Business Management and Economics. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2020 and continues to look for more opportunities to further his education.

When Nate is not working with clients or studying financial strategies, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family, hiking throughout the Southeast, and sampling some of Atlanta’s renowned local breweries.

Lex specializes in advising ultra-high-net-worth families on complex issues, including income tax, estate tax, investment and insurance strategies, financial planning, and family governance.

Before joining HB Wealth, Lex spent more than 25 years at SunTrust Bank and its successor, Truist Financial, where he led commercial and wealth management teams. He served as a City President from 2004-2019 representing the bank throughout the Greater Tampa Bay area and was the Senior Wealth Advisor for a select group of distinguished families

Lex earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida, majoring in Finance with a minor in Economics. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. With extensive experience in complex investment management, financial planning, tax strategy, estate planning, philanthropic initiatives, and family governance and education. Brad is adept at addressing the unique needs of his clients. His expertise in investment management enables him to provide a holistic approach, including customized asset allocations, investment selection, asset location strategies, risk management, and comprehensive performance reporting. Additionally, he has a robust background in private and alternative investing, further enhancing his ability to serve the needs of ultra-high-net-worth clients effectively.

Before joining HB Wealth, Brad served as Senior Vice President at Truist Wealth within the GenSpring segment (formerly GenSpring Family Offices), where he was responsible for the investment experience of approximately 25 families with assets exceeding $1.5 billion.

During his tenure, Brad was a member of GenSpring’s portfolio construction group and the NextGen committee, and he contributed to the family symposium steering committee. He also played a role in developing content for the firm’s family office services group and was a featured speaker at the firm’s numerous symposiums, NextGen conferences, and learning series focusing on topics such as next generation investing, behavioral and thematic investing, family office dynamics, and entrepreneurship.

Brad began his career at United Bankshares, where he initially served as a credit analyst, underwriting the bank’s most complex transactions with a primary focus on the commercial real estate and oil and gas sectors. He subsequently advanced into a management development role, gaining significant experience across all wealth management departments, including operations, compliance, sales management, and executive leadership. His performance ultimately led to his role as Principal of the bank’s dually registered broker-dealer and RIA subsidiary.

Brad graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Tampa Bay.

He enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and adopted border collie, traveling, being outdoors, and playing golf.

Steve Cass, CFP®

Steve joined HB Wealth in September 2024 as a Senior Wealth Advisor in the HB Wealth Family Office division. He has over 30 years of experience working with current and retired business owners and executives, along with multi-generational wealthy families who require complex investment, business succession, and generational wealth transfer services.

Before joining HB Wealth, Steve served as a Wealth Advisor for Truist Wealth. He joined SunTrust (now Truist) in 2000 as an Investment Manager where he managed high-net-worth portfolios and served in the fixed-income strategy group. In 2005, Steve transitioned to a Wealth Advisor role, coordinating a team to deliver a suite of comprehensive wealth management services. Additionally, in 2007, he was appointed City President of the Clearwater and North Pinellas market, where he represented the bank in marketing and community development.

An active member of the community, Steve serves on the Board of Directors and is a past Chairman of the Morton Plant Mease Healthcare Foundation and a prior Board Member of Morton Plant Mease Hospitals. He has previously served on the board of Directors and is a past President of the Pinellas County Estate Planning Council. Steve is currently Co-Chair of Gasparilla on the Gulf, a fundraising gala supporting Random Acts of Flowers.

Steve received his B.S. degree in Social Science with an emphasis on Economics from Florida State University and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.
