Leading $25B AUM RIA expands presence in South Carolina

ATLANTA – July 9, 2025 — Homrich Berg Wealth Management (HB), a leading fee-only wealth advisory firm, continues to grow its footprint and add top talent with the opening of a new office in Greenville, South Carolina. Robert DiBenedetto joins the firm as a wealth advisor, in HB’s second location in the state, following the opening of its Columbia office in 2023.

DiBenedetto brings deep experience from his prior role at Bernstein Private Wealth Management, where he advised individuals and families and their trusts, estates, foundations, endowments, and pension plans. He has extensive expertise in providing strategic guidance to clients on a wide range of complex matters, including tax and estate planning, multi-generational wealth allocation, individual and corporate retirement planning, and the sale of closely held businesses. Similarly, at HB, DiBenedetto will focus on serving high-net-worth individuals and families while helping to drive the firm’s growth in the Carolinas and Coastal Georgia.

“We are thrilled to add Robert to the team,” said Thomas Carroll, CEO of Homrich Berg. “His strong record of success, combined with his strategic insight and forward-thinking mindset, makes him a strong addition to our team. His arrival marks an important milestone in our expansion in the Southeast and the strengthening of our ability to serve clients across South Carolina.”

Before entering wealth management, DiBenedetto served in the U.S. House of Representatives for the 4th District of South Carolina as a legislative correspondent, associate, and field representative.

“There’s a strong connection between public service and wealth management,” said DiBenedetto. “Both focus on understanding people’s needs and helping them reach meaningful goals. I take pride in working with business owners and families through a thoughtful, client-first approach. It’s especially rewarding to serve the community I’ve always called home, and I’m thrilled to join Homrich Berg, a firm whose reputation and culture truly set it apart.”

A native of South Carolina, DiBenedetto resides in Greenville. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Clemson University and an International Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. An engaged member of the community, he recently served as President of the Christ Church Episcopal School Alumni Association, where he helped foster meaningful alumni engagement and supported the organization’s mission alongside a dedicated team of volunteers. He will continue to serve in a leadership role as Past President in the coming year.
