Adams will be joining newly appointed CIO Joel Houck and Deputy CIO Ford Donohue in guiding HB Wealth’s investment philosophy, market outlook, and portfolio strategies

ATLANTA – Nov. 10, 2025 — HB Wealth, one of the nation’s leading independent, fee-only wealth management firms, is bringing on Gina Martin Adams, former Chief Equity Strategist and Head of Equity Strategy and Fund Research at Bloomberg Intelligence, as Chief Market Strategist. In this role, she will collaborate with HB Wealth’s investment team to deliver timely market perspectives, share actionable insights, and enhance the firm’s visibility as a leading voice in the industry.

Adams, CFA, CMT, will collaborate closely with Joel Houck, CFP®, CFA, CAIA, who has been recently appointed Chief Investment Officer, and Ford Donohue, CFA, newly appointed Deputy CIO, to provide market perspective, investment guidance, and forward-looking analysis to HB Wealth’s advisors, clients, and investment committee. Together, this investment leadership team will shape the $29 billion RIA’s investment philosophy, guide asset allocation, and advance the firm’s position as a trusted voice in the markets.

With more than 25 years of experience at leading global financial institutions, Adams brings deep expertise in market analysis, thematic research, and translating complex economic trends into actionable strategies. With a top-down perspective, she leverages fundamental, technical, and quantitative perspectives to inform investment decisions. She will also contribute to advancing proprietary research, supporting the development of new investment products, and enhancing the client experience through thought leadership and education.

Houck joined HB Wealth in early 2025 as Managing Director of Investment Solutions through the firm’s merger with WMS Partners in Towson, MD, and brings 35 years of experience in capital markets, equity research, commercial banking, and hedge-fund management from prior roles with Bank of America, PNC, Wells Fargo, Cicero Capital Partners, and A.G. Edwards & Sons. Donohue has been with HB Wealth since 2014, most recently serving as Managing Director of Public Markets, overseeing the firm’s investment strategy across equities, fixed income, and hedge funds.

“The combination of these 3 leaders marks an exciting step forward for HB Wealth,” said Thomas Carroll, CEO at HB Wealth. “Joel and Ford have done an exceptional job guiding our investment team in recent months, and these new roles formally recognize the leadership they’ve already demonstrated. With Gina joining us, we’re bringing together a team whose experience, insight, and collaboration will further strengthen the thoughtful guidance we provide to clients every day.”

Adams will also serve as a bridge between HB Wealth’s investment philosophy and the clients it supports, helping translate the firm’s market insights into meaningful conversations. As members of HB Wealth’s investment committee, Houck, Donohue, and Adams will collaborate with the firm’s private and public market investment teams to shape portfolio construction and asset allocation decisions.

“Throughout my career, I’ve focused on research and insights that inform investment decisions,” said Adams. “As I considered my next chapter, I wanted to bring that work closer to where it can make the greatest impact: with clients. HB Wealth’s collaborative culture and client-first values immediately resonated with me. I’m excited to join the firm and to partner with Joel and Ford as they take on their new leadership roles to deliver insights that support advisors and the clients they serve.”

Adams serves on the Board of the CMT Association and the Advisory Council at the University of Florida’s Warrington College of Business. She is also a member of the Economics Club of New York, 100 Women in Finance, and the Financial Women’s Association, and an advocate for mentoring emerging female professionals in the finance industry.
